ACTION NEEDED: Tell Congress, End the Tariffs

We’re seeing the devastating economic impact of Trump’s irrational imposition of across-the-board tariffs, which are a tax on working families that will cost an estimated $3,800 a year. Trump’s reckless actions are tanking our retirement funds and will raise the cost of everything from groceries to electronics to healthcare.

Everyone will feel the impacts of Trump’s disastrous new tax hike – it doesn’t matter where you live or work. Republicans in Congress can do something about it if they put the American people above their fealty to Donald Trump and reverse these tariffs.

Urge Congress: Stop Trump’s tax on Americans.

We need to make sure people understand the impact of Trump’s tax, and we hope you join JDCA and political commentator Brian Tyler Cohen tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. ET to discuss Democratic messaging – and how this tax can impact voters.

The question is whether Republicans will do what’s right and in the interest of the American people. We’re seeing that voters are turning on Republicans and Trump. Last week in Wisconsin – a state Trump won in 2024 – we flipped a state by 10 percentage points, an 11 point swing from November. Democrats overperformed in two Florida House races by an average of 15 points. The week before, Democrats flipped a deeply red Pennsylvania State Senate district.

We can continue this momentum by telling Republicans that they’ll be the next to lose an election if they don’t start listening to their constituents. Democratic members of Congress need to hear from you, too – they need to know voters care and are fighting alongside them.

Write to your member of Congress now and tell them to stop Trump’s tax on Americans.
